Dear IFRIT,

Please don't inflict physical harm on yourself : ( It won't make anything better. I believe your condition is causing you a lot of uneasyness, but you mentioned that you have tried some medication. Did they not work on you in a desired way? Should you try some other form of medication?

Is there anyone like a family member with whom you could discuss the issue?

Dear Pakko

Thank you for your kind words I have not discussed with my family members however I discussed the matter with my friends but they says it is natural to stare and even psychologists advise the same but whoever sense my gaze found to be very disturbed and frustrated moreover medicines gave me all side effects so  I Quit  I feel like an unlucky guy

If the symptoms feel too much to handle, you could try some other drug. Some have unfortunate side effects on other people, whereas others never get any. What I am saying is that medication are to help us with OCD to feel better. It may take some time to find the right drug, however. While it is frustrating to wait for the effects to kick in, it's important to stay calm and take it easy, moreover be kind to yourself.

Try to stick with your medication as coming of them immediately can cause worse side effects. We all stare and it's because you don't want to stare at private parts that your eyes are drawn to them. Even people without ocd do this but they don't dwell on it and can let it go. We don't and therefore give ocd the power. Try to break the cycle and use reverse psychology. Look at the parts and say "so what!" Try to stay calm and let your eyes gently scan the room and continue to do this until you are no longer anxious. You will then be in a habit of giving the thoughts the "I don't care attitude" which will reduce your symptoms. Try not to strain your eyes try to let your eyelids relax and you will soon get over this honestly its just another part of OCD. It's just a thought not an action.

Hi Bbetternow

Thank you for the reply I'm trying these techniques but most of the time OCD gets hold over hence I'm not able to calm down or relax the mind I ask myself " why I'm starting what is the purpose " for a moment it subsides then come back strongly , medicines I took fluoxamine when I experienced the side effects and doubted the quality I quit . Could you advise me how to maintain a calm or relaxed mind always

Thanking you
