Hello all We would like to set up a new "creative" section on this website where people can submit their own creative writing whether it is poetry or prose (possibly even art). The page will be open to all and we will make it easy to navigate by categorising posts into various sections. We will also be able to have continuous submissions from an author rather like chapters in a book or a blog.

So here are some questions... 1) Do you think that this is a good idea? 2) What shall we call the page (it is important that the name helps people not to confuse it with "personal stories" which are more about life with OCD and are there to help people understand the disorder) 3) Any ideas on how we can make this better

Thanks Joel

This sounds like a great idea as there are so many on the forum who are very talented and creative.

Here are just a few suggestions for a title for the page:

Creative Moments In Time Our Creative Moments Creativity and Arts Our Creative Side Creative Minds

Thanks Rena32 I like your suggestions. We are aiming to go live with the page by the end of this week. At first the page will be fairly basic and let people ( as long as they are registered on the website ) to upload text. Over time we will be able to let people load up images, video etc...

All the text needs to be approved before it is published and we are looking for a volunteer to act as editor. If anybody is interested please let me know. We need somebody who is fairly computer literate, has internet access and can give some time each day to check submissions.

If anybody is interested - please let me know

Thanks Joel

I think a creative section is a great idea.

A few more title suggestions:

OCD - our creative side Creative expressions of OCD The creative side of our OCD Our OCD gallery The creative talents of OCD

Problem is that at the moment the only thing that I'm any good at is creating is a mess and muddle. Having said that perhaps I should apply for the Turner Prize

Joel? I was just wondering is this only for writting because I do have a creative side but mines usually for making things. I do stuff like Jewellery or some Accessories for Woman.

Hi,

If there's going to be a section for art perhaps you could photograph some of your work and put that in the creative section. After all jewellery is another form of creative expression isn't it?

Hello all The new Creative Community section is up and running, you can find it in the community section. You will need to be logged in to post anything and for now, we can only take text. - We will also put links to the most recent posts on the front page of the website.

enjoy..... Joel
