Hi I am the mother of a 16 year old with severe OCD. She is having terrible problems at school mainly with writing and re-writing. It takes her a whole lesson just to write the date at the top of the page. We have kept on at the school and they have just this week provided a lap top. What a difference! She no longer feels her writing isnt perfect so is crossing out less. The teachers are clueless though about the condition. A lot of education is required. If I can help I would be delighted!

This is *so* important. I am a school teacher, who has also lived with OCD for 14 years. Several of my students have been diagnosed with OCD, but have been afraid to talk about it or ask for support, as they feel any form of mental health disorder is stigmatised by both their peers and their teachers. Unfortunately, in my experience, they are right on both counts. Anything that raises awareness and educates young people about any kind of mental health issue is definitely something to shout about.

I think this project is a wonderful idea, is suffered terribly at school as a result of OCD.

Bullied,
No friends
Poor work and grades,
Always in trouble for acting out,
Dreaded going to school everday

Let me know if I can help, I live on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border.
