Our group is for anyone over the age of 17 who has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Notes

We aim to support OCD sufferers. Everyone who comes to the group has OCD. There are usually about eight of us at present, ranging in age from the 20s to the 60s. At our meetings, we take turns to talk about our week, and new members can join in if they wish, or just listen and get to know people. Our search for a room has led us to SunCo House, where we have been made very welcome. We have a small library about OCD, and lend books to group members. We got funding last year to buy more books, and to go to the national Anxiety Disorders Conference, where we learned a lot. Most members are from Tyne and Wear and Northumberland, but because of the great need for support for OCD sufferers, those from elsewhere in the North East are also welcome as members. We go out on occasional social events. We welcome new members with OCD – come and meet us!
