OCD Action Services over Christmas

The OCD Action office will be open up to and including Friday 22nd December and will re-open Tuesday 2nd January. We realise that OCD does not take a break for Christmas, so we will continue to run some of our services, but with more limited availability than usual.

Our Helpline will continue to run over Christmas, thanks to the support and dedication of our wonderful Helpline Volunteers. The Helpline will be closed on Bank Holidays, but we will be running a modest service over the next 2 weeks. We urge anyone who calls us to please leave a message so we can get back to you when we have a volunteer available. You can also email the Helpline for support or information.

Please note that we are not a crisis service, so it is unlikely that we will be able to respond straight away and it may be a few days before you receive a call back.

Our online Forums run 24/7 365 days of the year, and our volunteer moderators will be on hand over the festive season to offer assistance, but again with limited availability. The Forums are a great place to receive peer support from other people in similar situations:

Our Youth e-Helpline email service will continue as normal over Christmas, thanks to our hard-working youth volunteers. If you're a young person with OCD, or if you are concerned you may have OCD, please email the team for support and information.

For 24 hour assistance, please call Samaritans on 116 123, or you can present at your local A&E which will be open every day of the year if you need urgent care.

We hope you have a peaceful Christmas and all the very best for the New Year.
