OCD Action

Welcome from Nick - our new Lead Advocate

Hi I’m Nick Barber and I’m the new Lead Advocate for OCD Action, specifically covering the North of England. The main purpose of the role is supporting volunteer advocates, raising the profile of the advocacy service across the North and promoting the work generally of OCD Action.

I have many years’ experience within the field of advocacy working mainly with people with learning disabilities, and I’m enjoying the opportunity the new role has presented me with.

The main purpose of my job is to provide awareness about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and raise the profile of the Charity through social, print and online media and digital communications, like Facebook, Twitter, newsletters and our website.

Welcome to the new look OCD Action website.

Welcome to the new look OCD Action website.

The brief for this new website was to make it easier for people to navigate their way simply around the site and so be able to quickly access the information that they want.

We have tried to make it self explanatory and we suggest that you take time to gradually explore the new website in order to familiarise yourself with where everything is. The main home page has been laid out with this in mind and is intended to guide you into the site and its different sections.
