Our work with the Media

OCD Action works with the media to spread awareness of OCD and of the Charity’s vital services to a wider audience. In working with the media, the Charity seeks to ensure that its key messages are expressed.

These are

  • That OCD is severe
  • That OCD is treatable
  • That you should take action to treat OCD as soon as possible

As the UK’s largest and most comprehensive OCD charity, OCD Action is able to provide accurate and up-to-date information on OCD and related conditions and expert comment from leading professionals. The Charity also has access to a wide range of case studies from individuals willing to share their own story about struggling with OCD and related conditions.

Over the last year we have worked with a wide range of local and national media outlets including;

  • The Sun
  • BBC Breakfast
  • BBC News
  • Daily Mail
  • The Guardian
  • BBC radio stations
  • Radio 5 Live
  • Radio 1
  • Newsbeat
  • ITV Daybreak
  • This Morning

If you work in the media and would like to get in touch regarding a press request, please contact Cara Gordon (Communications, PR and Engagement Manager) at media@ocdaction.org.uk.

If you are somebody who is personally affected by OCD or a related condition and you would like to tell your story in the media, you can sign up to become an OCD Action Media Volunteer here.
