    Hi everyone,

    it's Saturday morning -- hurray!

I have found a lot of really interesting articles on Wikipedia recently. Here's the link for one that I found yesterday, which is all about "cognitive biases":

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cognitive_biases

Please note: this link is NOT about OCD. It is about "cognitive biases" in general. So I am posting it here because I found it really interesting and stimulating, and some of you might also find it interesting. (It would also be of interest to non-sufferers, as it is NOT talking about OCD.)

There are lots and lots of "cognitive biases" listed on here, and many of these terms are ones I've never encountered before (the terms), so I found this fascinating reading.

Please note: I did not prepare this document, so any disagreements about the content should be directed to Wikipedia!

I hope that some people find this interesting (and thought provoking), and I hope that you're all about to have a brilliant end-of-year weekend.

Please note: I am in no way suggesting that this article is a cure for OCD. (It's not about OCD, it's just really interesting!)

    Take care.

  2. Wow! There is some fascinating stuff on the list! It is the sort of thing I used to look at when I was at uni a few years ago, as part of a nursing course... I'm also into the science of where words originate from, I'm not sure which ology it is, but that's something else to study when time permits... Thank you for sharing!

  4. I didn't realise that Trudy! Nevermind, I've just given it some thought, Is Entymology the study of where words come from? I've not looked it up cos I don't have a dictionary! I think it is something like that, I found it fascinating years ago...

  5. Etymology is the study of words, Entomology is the study of minibeasts. I don't know what the entomology of "etymology" is though... oops I mean the other way round!

  6. Wannabe,

It's the 21st century so you don't need a dictionary you can always look it up on the computer. I rarely use my dictionary now as it's far too much effort to get it out and then open it (plus I find it difficult to read the small print in it. far easier to tap in the word on the pc.
