  1. What food or sweets evoke memories, good or bad of your childhood?

  2. roo-bars were cool - used to buy them when I was 9 and wanted to be the pink ranger.

  3. Black jacks and fruit salads mmmmmmm and coffee crumble from primary school.

  4. I hate liver as it reminds me of horrible school dinners. When I was younger my mum always used to make lots of cakes and puddings, I used to love jam sponge which I used to cover with milk instead of custard or cream (don't ask!).

  5. I love liver but not the way they did it at school - it was overcooked and was as tough as old boots

I hate sprouts and cauliflower and used to be made to sit at the table until I'd eaten them, I was frequently late back to school as a result

I also hate evaporated milk, we sometimes had it instead of custard and it spoilt the pudding that it was poured onto. But in those days you weren't given a choice, you either ate it or went with out your pudding, shame we weren't allowed to do the same with the first course. There was no getting out of eating that

My mother made loads of cakes and puddings too.

  6. I likely wouuld have starved if they tried to feed me liver at school. I think eating innards is yucky yucky ew ew ew. lol. I once had someone put chicken hearts in my soup...bout lost the whole bowl of stuff right there when I found out what it was..lol If it belongs on the 'inside' it dont go 'inside of me!'.
I think practically every kid in America grows up eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch. Also macaroni and cheese because its inexpensive and fast. Otherwise my mother was the queen of cooking...she made amazing stews and my favorite...southern fried chicken...my mama is from the south, and she knows her cookin'!

  7. I always thought it strange that Americans had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches until I discovered it wasn't what we call jelly, that it was jam. Jelly over here is what I think you call jello (don't know how you spell it ) - it's the wobbly dessert.

Do you eat eggs? As they 'belong inside' so as to speak.

  8. I saw Sherbet Fountains in the shop yesterday and it's no longer in paper covered cardboard tube with a piece of liquorice sticking out of the top. It's now in a plastic tube with a lid Half the fun was biting the top off the Liquorice and sucking out the sherbet through the liquorice (without choking of course )

Weren't they made by another British firm that disappeared - Trebor?

  9. Ah yes...Jam. Funny. There is a difference here between Jelly, Jam, and Preserves...and Jello is the brand name for Gellatin dessert...yes the wiggly stuf!! haha.
I do eat eggs but not often as if they arent in with something else they are not my favorite food...I do not consider eggs an internal organ...although it does have a certain 'yucky' factor if I think about it. lol.
