But you felt like that because of how badly I reacted, so it was my fault.

Okay I've decided that the weekends kind of go dead, and I am super busy on weekends...so I tend to disappear also...plus I tend to spend too much time on the internet so I've been taking a break. I bought nothing today, work tomorrow, so I'm buying a babysitter during the morning. Dont usually work days, but the bakery staff is down by two this week and they need my help so...
Anyway, if I buy anything of note I'll tell you..I can always find good ways to spend money...it is a talent I have.

  6. Why is it with OCD we are so quick to take the blame for something that isn't our fault?
So let's get back to making this the light hearted topic that it was intended to be. It also helps us to get to know each other better and to momentarily exclude the bully (OCD).

Today I bought the usual hand wash and tissues and food, amongst that some salad ingredients and a bag of spinach. Trying to pretend I'm eating healthily I'm going to have the spinach steamed then add a little butter and some black pepper and lemon juice, I would have had a poached egg with it but forgot to buy the eggs I also bought some towels to replace the old ones that are disintegrating as always in the wash

Caviar, eh? Very posh! I've never tried it myself, what is it like? Is it just sort of fishy?

Its fishy and salty. Lumpfish Caviar is the cheapest. I've never tried any of the others and quite frankly, I wouldn't spend £700 on 500g's of belugia caviar, lol

It goes great with Crackers and double gloucester cheddar. Yum, yum

Have you ever seen the movie 'BIG' with Tom Hanks? I love it when he tastes the caviar at a party and wipes his tongue off on the napkin. haha. Then he eats the tiny corn like corn on the cob. lol.
Anyway, whist I'll not be buying caviar anytime soon, I did buy some cinnamon swirl bread fresh baked at the bakery today. And some breakfast cereal. The next book in the series I'm reading comes in on wednesday so I'll be buying that! I hate waiting! The suspense is killing me!

Well, not at the moment. Its so late. I couldn't down any caviar at the moment. Andrea, its an acquired taste - I never thought I'd enjoy it at first, but with the right food, its georgeous! Cinnamon bread, hmmm, I'm not sure I'd enjoy that. I love cheese that you get from the deli counter which has chilli and peppers in. Lovely! I purchased a dance lesson this evening and did half a waltz, half a quickstep, half a chachacha, half a jive, half a tango, half a foxtrot, half a rumba, and half a samba (if you haven't worked it out, I don't have a dance partner)

Sounds cool, mama. I've always wanted to have magic powers too.

Today I bought a grilled chicken breast burger, a bag of sweets and a Creme Egg for a friend.

I was going to have lunch in a Wetherspoons pub at first but when we got there I realised I didn't have my passport on me for ID and they wouldn't accept my uni card because it has no DOB, even though it techincally proves I'm at least 18. I didn't argue though, and we had to leave, it was pretty embarrassing. I felt bad for my friend as it meant he was deprived of the meal he wanted. Technically though, I should have been allowed to stay and eat as long as I didn't drink, because I was with an 18 year old, and the law says under 18s (or 18 years olds with no valid ID like me) are allowed in pubs as long as they are eatiing and with someone who is 18 or over. I could have argued my case, I suppose, but I didn't want to get barred for causing trouble, lol. I'll go back next week and shove my passport in their faces, haha.

  22. Talking of ID, I tried to purchase a pair of scissors about three years ago and was asked for ID to prove my age Perhaps I should have been flattered as many years have passed since I was eighteen

Yes, just take it as a complement, lol!

The creme egg I bought is sitting there looking at me. I'm going to give it to my friend tomorrow when I see here but I'm SO tempted to eat it myself. I'm going to have to put it away or it'll drive me mad. I don't think I even like creme eggs!

Its a bummer when they do that. But I remember during a lecture at uni, they stated that degrees can be taken by anyone of any age. HNC's/HND's, you have to be a minimum of 18. Can't believe they didn't let you eat at the weatherspoonsh. Never heard of that rule before

    Today, I purchased nothing again

Special mention to Bridget though. As usual my mouth is watering. Could you cook me something?

  27. hi mama,

No, but you have to be over sixteen in this country to buy knives, scissors etc. It was supposed to be to cut down on knife crime, but as the kids can get knives from the kitchen at home it does seem a bit pointless

  28. even the little round tipped ones for kiddies? Interesting.

    Wed Mar 24 2010 11:49:36 #
  29. Today I have bought some basmati rice, king prawns, smoked haddock and petit pois.

And giles, if I didn't live so far from you, I'd love to cook you something, it's not always as nice as it sounds though lol
