  1. Truddles - I was referring to the new half penny and Woolworths was my first Saturday job too, I used to work in the clothes section. I was very sad the firm went into administration.

Today I bought a bag of walkers sensations, a box of jaffa cakes and 5 packs of milk and white chocolate bars for my son to take to school on his birthday to share with his classmates. Not that I'm encouraging the kids to eat sweets or anything, but once in a while won't hurt.

Exactly freddy, as long as he doesn't eat them all himself then it's fine. Even chocolate can fit into a healthy day if you eat good foods along side it.

I'm really pleased with this topic so far. Admittedly some people will think whats it got to do with OCD? Its a light hearted topic and we all need a cheer up:)

I didn't buy anything today, but I have eaten some nice things so far! For breakfast I had a jam and banana toasted sandwich- odd sounding I know, but very nice, haha.

It's exciting enough, Truddles, don't worry, haha! It's basically all the things I bought this week as well.

Ooh yummy! Apparently ginger biscuits are good for fighting nausea, I tried it myself a few times and I must say they helped, although any biscuits often help when I feel a bit sick, just having something dry and sweet is quite good. As long as I'm not actually going to be sick that is, if I am then nothing helps.

    Thu Mar 11 2010 20:25:18 #
  14. I bought socks and undies for my kids. They'll be so happy...specially my son who keeps ripping holes in the toes of his socks.
Salmon steaks and asparagus for dinner tonight! Ooooh I'm feeling like a gourmet chef!

Am I the only person on this forum who doesn't buy chocolate bars and trainers and CD's and gourmet food? We haven't had a chance to buy anything for a few days but we did go shopping on Tuesday and we had one of the dogs vaccinated and we bought 25 kilos of mixed poultry corn, 20 kilos of molassed goat concentrate, 7 and a half kilos of premium puppy food, a pull cord for a hedge trimmer and a pack of British spring greens, which we have since eaten. That put paid to over 50 quid. As you can see we really live it up down here in Cornwall.

  20. Today I bought two boxes of maltesers, one for me and one for my friend. Also I bought some fish and some coleslaw.

Your not the only one who lives it up Joyce lol

  21. Today I'm going to buy the sequel to the book I just finished...then I'm going to sit around and read it all day just to vex my husband who thinks I'm lazy at the moment. mmmm.

    Fri Mar 12 2010 16:07:15 #
  22. Today I bought paper plates, napkins, plastic cups, 3 birthday cards, a blouse for my mum, a cosmetic purse for my friend and some presents for my son's birthday.

    Fri Mar 12 2010 17:16:57 #
  23. I just bought the usual OCD things (hand wash etc) and food I'm boring. I did enjoy the Terrys Chocolate Orange bar yesterday though

Great buys Joyce. What was the goats corn for?

    Bridget - nice
    Andrea - Keep it up
    Freddy - Sounds like fun
Trudy - Food is always good, well unless its the Russian peasant diet of spinach and meat...and nothing else

I didn't buy anything today, although I did receive a purchase....or rather I would have, if the letter hadn't been ripped and the item fallen out. I won't lose any sleep over it - it was only £1.04 from ebay - I will however get angry about having to pay £1.55 and the tight git couldn't pay for a damned small jiffy bag that wouldn't rip, like a thin paper envelope.

    Hi Giles
The concentrate was for our 8 rescued goats - they also get hot soaked sugar beet shreds (winter warmer) and chopped veg/fruit in their bedtime buckets and a digestive biscuit each last thing at night - as well as ad lib hay and natural grazing. Two of them are feral goats from the Valley of the Rocks in Lynton, North Devon, both were orphaned kids, the rest are a motley bunch of unwanted creatures.
