  1. I'm so lost at the moment. I have no control of my life and when I try to control things it just makes it worse. I'm so aggitated and restless I just want to scream. I'm in tears just thinking about things. Just a few moments without any fears/thoughts/compulsions e.t.c would feel like heaven. I don't get even a minutes peace from all my fears. Everyday just passes into the next and I just feel out of control and scared. I have no friends to turn to just the lovely people I have met on here but I'm so lonely and feeling like this scares me so much.

Dear Daniel, I think I can understand how you're feeling. The only thing I can say is hang in there, because it can get so much better. I'm sure the thought of the Bethlem is making you more agitated and that's a perfectly normal reaction. I'll try to call you later. Sorry this is so brief, I only came quickly to check on something. I'm thinking of you.

  3. Hi there mate!

I think Tricia is right the thought of Bethlam could be making you more anxious. I know I asked you this before maybe but have you any hobbies you could do like even if just playing a computer game or watching a movie or something you like that will distract you? I'm so sorry to hear you are still feelign so bad with the OCD but I know what you mean, I feel out-of-control and that the OCD has too much control over me myself alot of the time.

  4. Hello there Daniel

I know all about feeling lonely and upset, I'm feeling that way myself today, so I understand how isolated it makes you feel.

Try and get involved with things, spend more time with friends, and like Natasha said, find a hobby. Listening to music and reading can be good, as well as the t.v, like watching a favourite comedy.

I also find that going for a nice walk is very good therapy, too.

The way you're feeling now won't be how you'll always feel, things will improve with time, but you just have to give it time, and try not to despair.

    All the best,
    Steve

  5. Hi Daniel

We all understand how you are feeling and it will pass, it feels so awful at the time but remember you are not alone and we know how scary this illness can be. You will feel better and be happy but it all takes time. It sometimes feels so lonely and dark but talk anytime just to know you have friends here who understand.

    Love and Hugs

Dear Daniel, How are you today? Could you take Steve's advice and go for a walk, or are you like me, too traumatized by what might be on the pavement?

    Love, Tricia.

  8. Hi Daniel,

Yeah a walk wouldn't help me relax, but maybe a computer game or sudoku - would be better, even if it helps just for a little while.

    Take Care
