Hi all, I was wondering about setting up an email address that people who are having a bad day can confidentially get to talk with someone or just rant or something.
Anyway, all ideas are welcome, as is feedback, negative and positive

Also, if we were to set up a domain with folk on it, beattheocdbully.com is available
Hi Andrew
OCD Action has a helpline for people to ring which I believe is available 24/7.
I'm wondering how your idea would work in practice because it would need someone or maybe a team of people to be available 24/7 to chat online because if you are really low and need help you're not going to want to wait for a reply. Or is this not what you had in mind?
Hi Andrew,
As Tess says OCD action has a helpline (0845 390 6232) for people to ring; there is also an email address support@ocdaction.org.uk where people can mail to discuss problems. At present we cannot staff the helpline 24/7 but there is an answerphone when it is not staffed and emails will be answered as soon as we can.
Perhaps rather than set up a special domain we could have a forum here on the OCD Action forums called "Beat the OCD Bully" as you suggest. If members think this will be worthwhile it can be set up without any delay. Post your thoughts on this topic or if you don't want to discuss them publicly send me a Private Message.

Hi caps and Tess
I've had a chat with andrew to clarify his thinking on this and what he was suggesting was along the lines of an unmanned drop where we could just post rants that we don't necessarily want anyone to read, but just want to get off our chests.
I suggested to him that a decent compromise might be a thread where we could post letters to ourocd bullies (with moderate language) and he thought that would achieve what he intended. So I think he's going to start a thread tomorrow, and I'm going to prepare a letter to my OCD.
I shall enjoy that.....
