The Geography Game

(31 posts) (8 voices)
  1. Hi everyone, this is just a silly game I play sometimes. You start with the name of a city, county, country etc. anywhere you can visit/go to. But the next place must start with the last letter of previous place."The" and other mall words in front of the letter you are using are fine, but anything larger than 4 letters should be considered the first letter. No repetitions, but Britain and England and Scotland are all seperate, and states in the U.S.A. can be used as well.

    Example:

    (Britain)
    --Next Post--
    (The Netherlands)

    Good Luck,
    Andrew

    United Kingdom

  4. Athelstaneford

Small town in East Lothian. Well I say town, more of a hamlet. Not really a hamlet actually. Just really three houses and a barn. And the barn has burned down. Still, it has a post box and a bin. Actually I think the bin has gone. There was a crisp packet in the middle of the road when I last drove past.

  8. Kirkudbright

Pronounced "kir kood bree". Home of the famous wee centipede. And not too far from England, but definitely in Scotland. The name means "one horse town and the horse isn't feeling well" in Gaelic.

Specifically Venice. Specifically the balcony bar of the Gritti Palace Hotel, sipping a Bellini and watching the vaporetto go up and down the grand canal. With my family.

  13. Sorry Mems, the place has to start with the last letter of the previous place. However I shall interject Kirkaldy between yellowstone national park and yelvertoft so the next place should start with T

I do like to keep things tidy

  14. I think this game is far too easy and we should play it the other way round and we should end each word with the first letter of the previous word.
Just to prove this will be much harder I will start at Yelvertoft -
    Jurby (Isle of Man)
