Just wondered if anyone knows if there is a support group in or around Greater Manchester? It would be lovely to meet on an informal basis with other parents

I believe there are one or more support groups in Manchester http://www.ocdaction.org.uk/north-west/ but I doubt if any are specifically for parents. However get in touch with the leaders of the groups to see if they welcome family and friends of people with OCD - the groups I run certainly do, but others may not.
Unfortunately face-to-face support for parents of children with OCD is in short supply but there is some good online support available on these forums and - please do see this page! http://www.ocdaction.org.uk/articles/ocd-parents%e2%80%99-support-project/ which hopefully will be of some help to you!
