I've just got in following a long and difficult day at the hospital and was shocked and upset to find that Tricia has left the forum.

Over the years she has tried to help and support people on the forum even when she was going through difficult times. The past couple of months have been especially difficult for her what with her daughter being repeatedly ill and the freezing weather. I'm cold enough wearing clothes so I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like for her and yet she soldiers on. Through out she has tried to be there for others by replying to PMs and emails.

Tricia, I wish you well and hope that you'll feel able to return to the forum.

Tricia- if you read this: I hope you do come back to the forum, if it's what you want to do. You are very wise and supportive- it's winter, you give a lot on the forum, (words can wound- especially hard when you've given a lot to help others and we know OCD happens to very very sensitive people) you have issues to deal with at home- you need a rest, recharge your batteries I wonder? I hope you come back to the forum- your advice is very much appreciated

Yes, I too am very upset that Tricia has left the forum and I hope it will be temporary. She has been on this forum for several years and has helped innumerable members but, like me she has found it can be a deeply hurtful place if people give vent to their feelings in a personal way against another member and especially so if you are brave enough, as Tricia has been, to expose your own innermost problems in order to try and help others. This is what has happened in this case and Tricia is under immense stress at present, she is at rock bottom and could well have done without the onslaught from someone who has come onto this forum just once to make her point. As the person concerned says she has a thick skin I am sure she will be able to cope with the knowledge of how sensitive every OCD sufferer is, whether they be child or adult and how easily personal criticism can cause extreme distress.
