  1. Help! I've got a severe case of CBA, in fact it's got to the point where I think it's terminal Nothing I say or do seems to help. Anyone else similarly afflicted at the moment?

    Hi Trudy
What's CBA? Cognitive Behavioural Apathy or Chocolate Before Anything?

    Fri Mar 12 2010 18:53:10 #
  3. I think I can confirm on Trudy's behalf it means "Can't be a***d".
I often struggle with this one as you know trudy, although today has been a better day for a change. Hope you have a better day tomorrow.

  5. Hi Joyce,

Great alternatives for the term CBA and with me both seem to also apply

Tell me about it, Truddles, I've got an essay to do for Tuesday and I haven't started it yet!!! I've got it all planned and everything but I can't bring myself to start writing it up.

Haha, no, I mean a computer game. At the moment I'm addicted to this stupid farm simulation game, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, lol. I'm also really into Legend of Zelda games currently, as well.

  12. Do you play them on facebook or at home on the game system? I got stuck playing Farmtown on FB for like 2 months...it was a funny little addiction...good for me during my recent set back when I was stuck in the house a few months ago. lol

Oh no, I never go anywhere near FB, lol! I play mostly on Nintendo DS or GameBoy Advance (got to love the "older" systems) and sometimes on the computer. Harvest Moon is a GBA game but I downloaded (slap on wrist) a copy to play on my computer, hehe.

Nintendo DS - I tend to play soduku on this. I;ve got a Zelda game too, which I stopped playing because theres a small thing somewhere that I cannot find and consequently I cannot continue with the game

Is it Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks? I'm playing both of those atm. There's very good walk-through guides for both online that you can consult when you get really stuck- if you look it should tell you where to find your "small thing". Or if you tell me where you are I could help.

I think its phantom hourglass. Its gathering dust in the corner at the moment. I don't think I've played it for about a year and a half now. Its a great game though, using the boomerang to solve puzzles

Did you finish the essay or are you still procrastinating?

Not done yet. Did quite a bit of it during a break at uni today though. The change of environment did me good and it was nice and quiet in the library. Bliss. Plus a nice bag of M n' Ms helped.

  19. Well done Helz for getting some work done on your essay today! Hope you get it finished for tomorrow. Yeah and I'm sure the M n Ms helped, says me, a huge chocolate fan lol

Thanks. Don't think I'll get it done for tomorrow, which is annoying, but it's actually ok because it's not officially due till Friday, but I did want to hand it in tomorrow because I'm not at uni on Fridays. But I think I'll take the extra days I've got to finish it and do a good job rather than rushing, and then go and hand it in on Friday. I can do some other research and stuff while I'm there so it wont be a wasted trip.

  21. Well I've another day with severe CBA and sitting at the computer summoning up the oomph to get the washing out of the machine. I just feel like doing nothing
Though it has to be said I'm not too distressed about it this time.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could just click our fingers and as if by magic the washing would not only do itself but also fold itself and put itself away

I suppose it's wishful thinking and just sitting here is avoidance

  22. aha. I think I've suffered from this most of my life.

    Sun May 30 2010 14:14:15 #

  23. I suppose it's marginally better than being afflicted with terminal apathy
