  1. Have my review coming up soon, really worried because I don't want to go back to hospital.

Then after what I saw today when I was visiting a friend - I don't think my OCD could take it any more.
I'm sick of taking meds and not being believed.

  2. The meds don't even help - which kind of proves I'm not psychotic anyway and it's all true.

  3. Sometimes it takes meds a while to help...and sometimes it takes a few trials before they find one or a comination of some that really help. Try to stick with it and trust the meds...just give it time and a real effort...I think things will work out.

  4. Hi Nicola, I have had two changes of medication in the last two months. The first lot made me feel really rough but the new one I've been taking for the last two weeks has started working I think as the depression is lifting and the intrusive thoughts have died down a bit.

I think you owe it to yourself to give it a good try as you have been through a rough time lately.

I hope they start working for you soon and good luck with your review.

Meds took about 3 months before I noticed the effects. Stick with it Nicola. I believe you'll be okay

  6. Niccola you have not given your medication time to get into your system properly yet, give them a chance to work before you give up on them.

  7. Nicola, what kind of meds do you take? Maybe you could find a hobby that you enjoy. That may help. What about books? Do you like to read? I hope that you will get a good review. Also, Andrea is right sometimes it takes a while to find the meds that will work best for you. We are all different and each of us respond to medication differently. Give the meds a little more time and then you may start to feel much better.

  8. I'm off my section 3

I have a choice about meds now as well, there's no point I'm not ill.
3 months is a long time, mine has been 2 weeks so far.

Rena - I take abilify - it's an anti-psychotic - because they think I can't be right, well I know I was wrong about some things.

Going to talk to the nurse tomorrow.

  9. Hi Nicola,

    How are you today?

Pleased to hear that your review went well. How'd you get on with the nurse yesterday?

Hope things continue to improve for you.

    Best wishes

  11. I'm ok.
They think a year at least for the meds - not sure if I can come off though.
The nurse was ok - but he was lying to me.

Brennie - Well I have no side effects - so that's good.
    Have you tried it?
