  2. Hi Swan sorry to hear about your depression i know that feeling of wanting to stay in bed all day only too well. How are you feeling about going to the maudsley. I know very little about what they do there but i wish you all the very best and hope you are not waiting too much longer to get in.

  3. Hi Teresa
I'm sorry to hear about the effects of the Prozac. There seems to be a question in medical circles about whether people with OCD have too little or two much serotonin, I'm wondering if the extra serotonin caused a sort of double whammy effect like alcohol and the body worked too hard to dampen down the 'high'. When I first started taking seroxat in 1992 it was carefully monitored in hospital and they increased the dose until I was really high (a normally shy person I was dancing, singing and drawing pictures non-stop!) and then slowly reduced it until I was just a bit above my normal mood. I think they ask a lot these days by expecting sufferers to experiment with the effects of these meds whilst trying to keep going at work so I think you are doing really well.
I'm concerned about you having to work so hard to make sure everything is completed before going into hospital beacause this is going to put extra stress on you when you could well do without it. If you don't have time to finish everything they will just have to find someone else to do it, your health is priority.

  4. HiThanks for replies
Tess I have decided that I will do as you say and if it doesn't get finished it doesn't. I think I have been fair with my employers I am also aiming to take the thurs and Fri off prior to going into hospital so that I can have recovery time. Think If I took whole week off I would worry all the time.
    How are you
