Hi.
If you go onto website below you can also sign a petion about changes to Disability Living Allowance at present they are intending removing the mobility component for people who live in residential homes. There is no move to make further changes but suggest we sign this one so that they stop trying to touch DLA. if you sign petition it will come up with saying about making a dontation you are making a donation to petion on line not individual course, this bit can be ignored
Caps could we set up petion in relation to ocd awareness we could do something about OCD, TREATMENT ECT.

Hi Swan,

That is a great idea and something we can consider doing in the future. The problem we have at the moment is that the vast majority of people simply have no idea of what OCD really is thinking it is just a bit of hand washing. So, daft as it may seem, we have to raise awareness before we can make a petition on awareness that people will be willing to sign up to. I know there are sufferers and carers who do understand OCD but in relation to the numbers needed to make anyone take notice of a petition they are small. I agree with swan that a petition for OCD would be a good idea. But I also agree with Caps that we first need to raise awareness.
A petition with very few signatures can potentially do more harm than good so it's up to each and everyone of us to try to raise awareness so that in the future we can formulate a petition to help further the cause of those with OCD that hopefully thousands would sign
