  1. Well on Friday I was put on Buspirone and I'm already on Citalopram which has helped block some of the intrusive thoughts. Buspirone was given because I was becoming increasingly anxious and wasn't sleeping. Anyway last night I took one and after an hour I had high temp, headache and dizziness. I went to go to bed and just started panicking, sweating and shaking. I finally managed to calm myself down but was really scary. It just brought back the feeling of horror that I had experienced two months ago when I had panic attacks non stop for two weeks or so. Anyway today my mood has dropped and my OCD is attacking me will all sorts many the compulsions. Anyone experienced this with Buspirone? My doctor is away on holiday at the moment and don't know whether I should still be taking it or not? Thanks Jess Xx

  2. It can take time for your body to get used to the meds, side effects can be nad at fist but them go away.

On the other hand some meds dont short certain people, and you may need t otry another one.

You should make an appointment with another doctor and see what they think

  3. Jess, there must be a doctor available at your surgery. I would definitely phone and ask to speak to her/him before you take another Buspirone. xx

  4. Hello,
Thanks for your messages. Finally got a phone call from another doctor who knows about what I've been going through. She has taken me off the Buspirone due to adverse reaction! I feel alot better but still really anxious but hopefully will settle again soon as the other tablets (citalopram) help to distract me from intrusive thoughts. Thanks again Jess Xx
