    Hi both

The centre is in Tiverton... I have only just heard about it. It seems to be run by two OCDers with very high control. Of course Tiverton is a fairly easy place to access now that the London train stops there. There is no train from where I live - we are out on a limb here in deepest North Devon - so I can't visit to check it out alas.

I have only heard of people who been to Indias Haylor's wonderful centre in London and not the centre in Tiverton.

Both are private treatment centres - so you would need to pay for the course and accomodation. They seem to do intensive one week courses. I think this will work well for a lot of people - but I personally feel you would need follow up treatment and would have to work hard every day to keep up your progress. But of course we have to do that anyway regardless of the therapy we choose to maintain our progress.

I may have considered this a year ago - but have made very good progress with my private therapist Morgan. I personally prefer one-to ones. But I do have to say that the great advantage of treatment centres, whether they be NHS or private, is that you are with other OCDers - that indeed is magic! One of the best things about my long stay in the Bethlem were my fellow patients - their support was invaluable. And this is why I think that forums such as OCD Action are so very important. We have a wealth of inforamation and experience to share.

Dear Teresa, Sorry to have left this so long, I’ve been hoping the people I mentioned would have replied to my e-mails. No luck so far. I do recall one saying that she felt the unit at the Bethlem was better.

I’ve looked at the site. I have to admit I would be wary.
