  1. Hi- I've heard about this OCD film that someone in the States is trying to make. I think it would really help all of us struggling with OCD. They're looking to raise money for the movie. Any way the group can get involved in helping? The website is: http://www.machinemanthemovie.com. It seems pretty amazing!

  2. Looks very interesting, & unlike that TV show that has been talked about on here, it looks like the main goal is to raise awareness; I say Kudos!

How did you hear about this??

  3. Yeah, I just saw that too: http://www.aolnews.com/2010/12/23/filmmaker-kellie-madison-raising-funds-to-make-ocd-movie/

If you give money then you get to be a part of it. The director says she's never heard of anything like it, but it seems familiar. Sounds like something a studio could definitely pick up, though - seems like she's keen to make something a lot harder-hitting than Rain Man did for what people then thought autism was.

  4. Sorry folks, this is not one for me, as soon as I read that each person who contributes money gets "rewards" and the more you contribute the bigger the reward I switched right off. Prestigious it may be but as to it's truth and relevance, well - time will tell.

  5. I like the idea, but I hope people don't just pledge money for the rewards without thinking of who the money is going to.

I think I'd rather give money to an actual charity that helps people with OCD. While a film may help to raise awareness, I think people's money could be better spent elsewhere.

  7. Hi guys - Mike here again.

I've spoken with a young woman in Essex this morning, she and her colleagues are looking to put together a short film revolving around characters with OCD based loosely on her experiences. Should be pretty good as she's been doing this sort of thing for a while.
