  1. Hiya, im new to this forum but just been glancing through and my son was diagnosed with ocd in sept 2010 - he was admitted to a secure unit as his intrusive thoughts was wanting him to end his life.... with support from psychologist and psychiatrists I can confirm that thing are getting better. He still has his down days and still has to tell me most of his intrusive thought - but we just have to be supportive and be there for them. I would be gratefull of any good books i could get on intrusive thoughts ocd.

    Thanks

Lee Baer's 'Imp of the Mind' is one of the best.

Good luck to your son and welcome to the forum.

  3. Hi Ocdmum,

I'm glad your son is getting better.I am an intrusive thoughts sufferer too and know how distressing and debilitating it can be to live with.

I havn't read the 'Imp of the Mind' but am going to get myself a copy, I have heard that is really helpful.

All the best to you and your son
