New EU rules for sale of herbal remedies.

  1. I don’t know if you’re aware but as from today new EU rules come into force to protect consumers when buying herbal remedies.

    It now means only long established remedies and ones that have passed strict quality controls will be allowed to be sold. This is a step in the right direction to ensure the safety of consumers.

    If you go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-13215010 you can read the article and see a picture of the logo (THR) that will appear on herbal remedies that have been approved for sale.

    I’ve posted this because it includes remedies such as St John’s Wort which I know several members use.
