  1. hi all

i've just joined so i'd thought i'd introduce myself. I'm Liza, I'm 24 and have suffered with OCD since as long as I can remember really. My main problems are with mental rituals and magical thinking issues. I'm currently on citalopram and olanzapine and waiting (impatiently) for CBT.

    nice to meet you

  5. Hi Liza
Sorry this is a delayed response but better late than never, eh?! A warm welcome to the forum. It's always good to meet new people with whom we share something in common. Hope you don't have to wait for CBT for very long. Have they given you an estimate of how much longer?

  10. Hullo Liza -

nice to see you here! I really hope that CBT will be available to you soon. How do citalopram and olanzapine affect your rituals and magical thinking? I am hugely interested.

At any rate: all the best to you and yours!

    Cuthbert.

  11. hi Cuthbert, thanks for the welcome

Citalopram hasn't really helped me that much and as such my pscyhiatrist wants me to change to effexor but olanzapine has helped me somewhat as i am now spending less time on rituals and have been able to reduce them and resist less 'important' ones. my mood has also been helped as I am feeling less hopeless than i was a few months ago.
