  1. Hi All, I have not been on the forum for awhile, and at the moment I am feeling kinda down, my OCD is acting up and I cannot concentrate on anything because of excessive doubts, worries and fears. I wonder what causes OCD to be easy to deal with at times and then all of a sudden it gets worse, does anyone have any advice on this?

  2. Hi Rena -

that's sad. If you like to, can you explain which types of fears you have? Are there triggers, tiny things that you see as the cause of your surge of OCD troubles?

    Hang on in there, Cuthbert.

    Hello Rena

Nice to have you back - but sorry you are going through a bad phase again.

Talking about your symptoms on here may help you deal with them better. When I have done this in the past I have received a lot of good practical advice and support when I have faced up to them.

Mine never go nowadays so I have to keep facing up to them daily. But it is equally hard if they sort of vanish and then come back.

As Cuthbert says hang on in there
    Love

  4. Hi Rena,
Sorry your having a rough time again.
I have episodes also that are worse than usual and they do knock me off my feet on a regular basis. I have accepted that now and make the most of the better times when they come.

I also hold on to the fact that the bad times are only temporary and will ease up given time.

I personally think that the more stress going on in your life at the time does worsen the OCD and make it harder to deal with.

For example I suffer from severe intrusive thoughts every single day on and off all day long but a lot of the time they don't bother me, but the more I worry about them and try to stop them the worse they become and take over my life.

    I hope things improve soon
    Take care
    Bridget
