  1. Hey everyone,

Ohh gosh today has been terrible, I had an exam which I completey struggled throughout with. Then I got home to find out for three months my flat mate has been charging me extra for all the bills therefore ended in a massive arugment which now means for 2 months I have a terrible atmosphere. I am now trying all of my friends but they have all gone out and I didnt get an invite :(.

Ever feel like you take 10 steps forward 11 back. I had such a good weekend forget out all my worried and realy enjoyed the new job, as soon as I get back to this place its like it all happens again.

I still check this guys facebook, found out he had a exam the same time as me so what do I do sit right by the front gates waiting for him not too obvisously tho. Then when I finally caught a glimse of him I walked the complete opposite direction.

Ahhhh never felt so lonely and upet

Relationships aren't easy. Whether they are with your ex or your flatmate or friends, but they are harder when you have OCD to cope with as well.

If you had a good weekend and enjoyed your new job then that is what you should focus on. Two months is eight weeks and it will be gone before you know it. Your friends are almost certainly not all out together. Why not do something for yourself? Have a bath, relax, or go out to a show? Ortreat yourself to a takeaway or something.

If you had a good weekend then that is great. If anything ten steps forward is the only thing to think about. Backward steps don't count at all because they are old behaviours, the steps forward are new.

So you have had two great days, one bad one. Settle for that!

  3. I send another hug Jessie. Try not to get too stressed as we know that sends OCD through the roof. It does sometimes feel like one step forward, two back with OCD which is demoralising and tiring when you're trying so hard to get better. But I think OCD is like that- it keeps hitting back, but as Ratwomble says steps forward are a breakthrough and recovery is taking small steps. Ups and downs of life ( relationships, friends, work) can also upset our equilibrium which OCDers want to keep on an even keel! But find time to relax, give yourself a pep talk, and let your mind get rid of the anxiety

  4. Hi,
have read both your threads, sounds like you are having hard time. Sending you a virtual hug, sorry things are so difficult for you, also if your flat mate has been so mean as to charge you more rent and write things about you on facebook, she is not worth worrying about however have come to realise that sometimes even when people tell me that its easier said than done.
    Take care
    Teresa
