A final reminder about our Awareness Day on Wednesday. It's a first for Cornwall and we want to reach out to as many people as possible to offer them information, support - and above all - HOPE.
It's in the Long Room of Liskeard Public Hall between 10.30am - 3.30pm and will be a drop-in for browse/chat/coffee, stay as long as you want or just a quick look round, grab info and go. Two trainee psychologists from Plymouth Uni are helping with the information exhibitions - it will include lots of info about OCD, symptoms, intrusive thoughts (lots of fun with that one doing cartoon characters with worry bubbles)- and lots of blank ones for people to fill in their own worries and pin them up, famous peaople with OCD, on-line support, a CBT section, books, questionnaires, OCD Action and Rethink stands. Hopefully there will be more punters than helpers but there will be at least five "professionals" to talk to plus members of the two Liskeard support groups.
Don't forget, it's WEDNESDAY as most of the other awareness days are on Friday.
Will take lots of pics, wish us luck, Joyce
