  1. I never took meds, until a few weeks ago after I got sectioned.
Before I went in they asked if I'd take meds and I said no, but then because I knew I might be going to hospital I said yes.

The social worker there said I couldn't now because I needed hospital because I lacked insight and I wasn't commited to taking meds.
So because I was forced to hospital I think I have to take the meds.

It all seemed pretty extreme so I think they know everything I was saying was true and they want me to try not care or foget about it - so I end up dead.

Going to try and get off my meds

  2. Nicola. They want you on meds so you can live. Not so you end up dead. No one wants that...you need to take the meds.

  3. That's how it seems
Think I need to be extra careful about things for now, they know a lot.

  4. Whether or not any of it's true, I think there's a more likely explanation for the way the doctors behaved. I think you scared them silly with talking about knives, and one of them thought you were a maniac!
It certainly doesn't look as if the pills are doing any good yet, but this kind of medication often takes a while to do anything. Maybe the answer would be to ask your psychologist what's the longest time they could take to start helping, and then keep taking them for that long and see what happens. That way you could be sure - and so could your doctors!
    All the best,

  5. The nurse said - the other nurse was ok with it, they are used to people thinking stuff like that.

There is something going on though I know it.
My nurse said it takes about 4 weeks.
I'm not sure who to talk to now though.

  6. Talk to me, if you like. Maybe by PM.
If you took the pills for 4 weeks and nothing improves, at least your doctors would know it's no use bothering you to take any more of them. Can't do any harm, since you're lucky enough not to have a problem with side effects.

  7. Thanks, but after last time and what happened I won't - some people although they know just like to see me get screwed.

I just need off them before something happens and I'll them I know.
My psychologist is who I trust mostly though.

  8. Well, it's up to you in the end. I don't know what you mean by "what happened last time", though - I thought you said the medication wasn't causing you any problems?
    Hope nothing does happen, anyway.
    Cheers,

  9. Well last time I got screwed by someone on the forum who I thought was a friend, but how wrong I was.

The meds are ok, just they'll make me not care, then I know that's when things will happen.

Today I could tell the way the nurse was that he was part of it - the conspricay

    Thanks though

  10. Well I can't get off my meds anyway - if I do I'll get sectioned again. This sucks

  11. Think it's going to stop me getting my messages as well
I'm going to miss important stuff.

    Sat Mar 6 2010 12:24:37 #
  12. well I dont think you'll miss a thing Nicola. Dont you worry about that!

    Sat Mar 6 2010 16:39:06 #
  13. Thanks

I was talking about it with my psychologist and the meds are like a barrier to the people trying to help, they told me never to take meds, but I'm stuck in the middle

    Sat Mar 6 2010 18:07:29 #
  14. Nicola, how would taking medicine stop you getting messages? Just nosy. PM me if you like. If you mean what I think you mean, I've sort of come across this sort of thing quite a lot. Never mind what I mean.
    How's the OU course?

    Sat Mar 6 2010 22:41:38 #
  15. It would be like a barrier - so it stops me from getting any message and they told me not to take meds either.

My course is going ok - just I'm way behind now.

    Sun Mar 7 2010 10:38:36 #
  16. Afraid I don't get you. Remember, you've never explained about these messages - for all I know, they might be coming in the post, or by smoke signals! The only thing you mentioned was that time you said someone signalled to you by leaving blood on a bun in a shop. And I can't see how medication would interfere with that, either!

Sorry you're behind with your course. I expect they'll understand, but it's still annoying isn't it?

    All the best,

  17. I get them sent to me, like to my head, like it's inserted there by them.

I have no idea what's going on or what I'm meant to do anymore - I'm just so confused.

    Thu Mar 11 2010 20:39:28 #
  18. No wonder.
Of course you know what your MHT people would call it, the question is are they right? This kind of stuff rarely seems to be simple - it's not always imaginary, it's not always real, it's not even always one or the other! I can only suggest you try asking them a question to see if they can answer it. Something you don't know at the time, but can check easily. And ask them who they are. (If they won't answer at all, they may not be worth bothering with. After all, if they really wanted to help, they'd be happy to prove they were real, wouldn't they?)

I can see why you don't know what to do. You can't even be sure that the messages are reliable when you do get them - you don't know who or what they're from. I should do nothing if I were you - but then I'm not, am I?
