Hello folks- did try to post news under a new heading but for some reason the site keep rejecting it!
Anyway...I completed the fundraising Trithlon in just over two and a half hours this morning. It was a really tough race- the swimming was extended to 750 meters ( instead of 500m) but at least the current was downstream! was doing well timing wise until the bike section, when my gears jammed and I completed the course in a mix of high and low gears ( together) which made a lovely grinding sound for most of the course.. there was nothing for it but to pedal as fast as I could, but I lost some time- the run was really the best bit was the run along the banks of the Dee. I came in with a respectable place in the 'veteran' group!( over 45s).
Long day and I feel like I have been run over by a steam roller and my muscles have all gone on strike!
Thanks so much to all who donated and supported- feeling slightly comatose now but I am sure I 'll be like a spring chicken tomorrow..( !) Photos to be uploaded on the just giving site in the next few days.
    Kind regards
    Jude

  4. Congratulations Jude on managing to raise £1,200 so far

The OCD Action Advocacy Service has been up and running for nearly two years and in that time has helped many hundreds of people, challenging discrimination, fighting ignorance, red tape and poor practice and getting an all round better deal for people with OCD.

To keep on with our life changing work we need to find more funds to keep our project going.

It's not too late to donate to help keep this valuable service going. Donations can still be made by going to http://www.justgiving.com/Jude-Wynne

  5. Great stuff Jude - many thanks. This has enabled us to continue with some of our essential services to sufferers.

Almost all of the work done by OCD Action is done by volunteers who give their time. But without funds they can't make that essential phone call or give out that advice sheet or write that letter that can make so much difference to a seemingly impossible situation.
