Although I can't answer your first question on length of time a referal takes as this can vary so much, it would be worth your while looking at the updated OCD and work/ Employers Guide that will be on the website ( Advocacy section) very soon. These leaflets now include information on your rights as an employee under the new Equaity Act. Your bosses have to treat you in line with the new legislation which means that if you have disclosed your condition to them and you meet the criteria, then they have to make ' reasonable adjustments' for you. This could include extended time off for treatments etc. They would be in breach of the Act if they sacked you on account of your OCD.
