  1. Hello All, sorry i havent been around for awhile, i have been in bad depression for months but i now feel a little better due to my recent hospital care and change of medication.
I am still waiting to be admitted to the Priory for CBT therapy etc, but i have now become a bit fed up of waiting because it has been months, but i suppose its well worth the wait.
I hope you are ALL feeling well
    Lots of love

    Hi Brennie

I am pleased you are back on the forum. So sorry you are still waiting to go to the Priory - this is a long wait when the OCD is at its worst. I was at my worst when I went in the Bethelem and had to wait nine months to get in after my first appointment. But the wait was worth it.

Glad the medication is working better. The depression makes the OCD far worse -I know that only too well.

    Love

  3. Hi Brennie,

    Welcome back to the forum.

I'm pleased to hear that you're feeling a little better following change of medication and hospital care, as OCD complicated by depression isn't easy to cope with is it?

I hope that you don't have to wait much longer for the CBT at the Priory.

    Best wishes
    Truddles

  4. Hello again Brennie, good to see you again. I'm so glad to hear that you're finally feeling a bit better, and that you did get into some kind of hospital when you needed it.

Hope that you soon get into the Priory, surely you must be getting near the top of the waiting list by now.
    Best wishes,
    Wombat140

  11. Hi Brennie,

I have had more useful help and support from members of the forum than from any of the professionals. Everyone has been so friendly and it's great to know that there are so many people out there that are willing to support each other.

It's just as well that we are able to help each other as we all seem to get such poor treatment from the NHS. I think it's because they lump us all together and think that one treatment will suit all.
The NHS really doesn't know how to treat us, because they've never asked us what we need to recover. OCD is unique to the individual and often they also don't take into consideration other conditions that may be affecting the OCD.
We need to be treated holistically in order to gain control over our OCD and any other conditions involved. Our OCD can't be treated in isolation.

Sorry to rant but I'm really annoyed by the events of yesterday.

Look forward to hearing more from you

    Trudy

  12. Hi everyone I must say that without the support from the forum I don't think I would be able to cope at the moment. Everyone is so kind to each other whilst suffering at the same time.

    Thankyou
