  1. I feel as if I am getting depressed again. I have constant worries that have started to bother me and I am stressed, which is making my OCD worse.

  2. Hi Rena,

I'm new on here, I have the same problem and don't know which way to go either. I wish I could offer some useful advice but all I can say is hang on in there. Take each day as it comes and hopefully we'll both be out of this mess one day! Take care of yourself x x

  3. I am with you, Rena -

trust me: it'll go away, just as it came. Your worries are a survival skill, albeit an exaggerated one. I know this sounds awfully trivial, but it is not, believe me. A woman with a newborn has many, many unnecessary worries and fears. She can't help it. I know that Nature will cause your worries to evaporate one day.
Perhaps this helps: when you're feeling better, you might try to jot down under what circumstances your feeling better actually began. With a bit of luck, you will discover a pattern over time; and take control of these cues, so that you can eventually evoke that 'feeling better' yourself a bit.

    Hang on in there, Rena,

    ciao, Cuthbert.

  4. Hi Rena,

Sorry to hear you're feeling depressed. I agree it makes the OCD worse when you're depressed and stressed.

I'm afraid I don't have any advice as I'm going under with the depression and the stress that I'm under at the moment.

But I wish you luck and hope things improve for you.

  5. Depression tends to cycle...SSRI's can help smooth out the ups and downs, but they do not work for all people the same way...there are other alternatives, but if you can, just hang on and you will see the depression come up. If you start to chart your mood and level on a calendar, it can help you to see patterns...seeing it helped me be aware and somehow was empowering...it just helps to be able to know what is happening with our bodies...just my thoughts...

  6. Thanks to you all, and I will indeed start charting my moods, I feel that this will be a great way to know what mood lies ahead and be more prepared and able to deal with it when It comes.
