  1. Thanks Saffa,

I am glad it helps. The actual design and workings of the forum is a template 'Powered by phpBB 2.0.6 © 2001, 2002 phpBB Group'
which I edited for OCD Actions purposes.

But since then I noticed that another OCD forum used the same template (but failed to configure it correctly) and two of their forums are an exact copy of this, which was the bit that annoyed me.

  2. Ashie,
Saffa's right - imitation is supposed to be the best form of flattery! Besides even if they dont credit you at least youll have the satisfaction of knowing that your ideas are so good that people have to copy them, and that your thoughts are getting a to wider audience who need your help and advise!

  3. Hey Ashie,

Sorry to hear you're feeling fed up and the reason for it - it's really mean that people have copied your work and not acknowledged it in any way, as you say, it would be courteous for them to contact you.

However as E says,"imitation is supposed to be the best form of flattery!"

Also this forum is so clear and easy for non-computer buffs (like me) to master, so I guess as you say, they are helping more people through using your design so you should take that as a positive.

Anyway, keep your chin up - we miss your (apologies for) jokes!! :D

    Take care :)

  5. Hi Ashie,

As you say any other board is just a pale imitation.

This board is a great place for resources, help and discussion and is very well run.

So keep up the good work and don't feel too disheartened.

    Jimbo.

  8. Hi Ashie,

I'd like to add my little bit here too! I have been a member of this forum now for a bit and i love it i actually use it more than the other one that i was a member of so take that as a mega big compliment and keep your chin up mate! This is a great forum and least the replies go on straight away unlike others where you have to wait for hours before your reply goes on need i say anymore.

You're doing a fab job and it was your idea first so be flattered and ignore the others they couldnt think of it themselves it just proves what a genius you are :D

    Love

  9. HI Ashie,

just wanted to say what others have said, you are doing a grand job, we do appreciate it, and you should be flattered that others are using your ideas, although maybe they should have asked first! anyway they will never be as good as you ;-) keep up the good work.

  10. Hi Ashie,

Sorry that you feel undervalued at the moment. If it is any consolation to you, we're setting up a web-site here in Northern Ireland, and whilst I had toyed with the idea of having a similar facility, I realise we can't do it any better, so instead we're putting a link into this forum from our web-site.

Small beer I know, but if I didn't value the contribution this forum makes I wouldn't even be considering it. So take heart. (At least you have the Forest success over Burnley to console you. Just wait for the re-match X-D )

I only joined this forum a month ago and I have found it invaluable - although I have seen other forums on the web, they are all pale imitations to this one.

This forum has been so helpful to me - I have not been diagnosed with OCD by a doctor but my experience suggests to me that I am suffering from the Pure-O version.

This forum has helped me to find out more about what is happening to me and has given me great comfort.

You and the other moderators are doing a fantastic job... thanks!

  12. Hey Ashie,

I've just witnessed something pretty significant. Three people from the States discussing their problems together.

Now we can all sit around telling you what a good job you've done, but the proof of the pudding as they say is in the eating. And if you have an International clientele like that, who feel comfortable using the site, then I reckon yer done good, mate. X-D
