    Hi everyone,

just noticed that David Veale's lecture (or his slides for the presentation) at the recent OCD Action Conference has been put on the website now.

    Here's the link:

I attended this lecture, and I thought it was brilliant. (That's just my personal opinion!)

David Veale is the co-author of the book "Overcoming Obsessive Compulsive Disorder". (Co-written with Rob Willson, whose presentation slides are also on this website now, too.)

For anyone who is considering taking a course of CBT, or has had a bad experience doing CBT, I hope this attached presentation is helpful.

Please note: I personally enjoyed the lecture a lot. But if anyone strongly disagrees with Dr Veale's advice, please direct your comments to Dr Veale. (He has a website!)

    Enjoy.

  2. Just had a look at the slides a few minutes ago, before replying to another thread... I sort of got the gist, and was trying to think about what the lecture sounded like, as I read through the slides... It's all good stuff! Thank you for sharing... It is very informative, and gives me good idea of what to expect from my therapist...

  3. The following CBT Checklist will be of more help as the some of what is on the above presentation isn't clear unless you actually attended the presentation

  4. Good point, there Trudy... I did find that some slides didn't make sense, re the graphs, but the gist was there, but I will also check out the cbt checklist prior to my own CBT, hopefully starting soon... Thank you for sharing the link...
