  1. I am doing some informal research into whether CSP affects mainly women, or indeed whether men are equally represented, but less likely to come forward to admit they suffer from the disorder, for fear of appearing weak.
I would welcome any feedback on the subject.
    Many thanks

  2. This is an important and welcome research subject. It is quite possible that men are less likely to come forward for a variety of reasons many perhaps due to the fundamental differences between the sexes that affect and determine so many aspects of life, however to suggest that men do not come forward for fear of appearing weak is simply sexist. Any research in this area should examine all possible causes rather than support a pre-determined prejudice.

  3. Hi Jerama.
    Many thanks for your reply.
Indeed the fundamental differences between the sexes, may play an important role in why CSP seems to be a condition that appears to be more common amongst women than men. And you are right - any research in the area, needs to be objective and should not be affected by stereotypical biases. It was not my intention to appear sexist and I welcome your remarks and your valuable input.
