  1. Hi everybody. Sorry if this sounds pointless, but I was wondering what you thought about my avatar picture. It seems to me that the top margin is slightly smaller than the bottom margin.

Is it, or am I just imagining it? Also, if it is, should I leave it, or change it?

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. I know it's facing the wrong way, but that's intentional.

  3. Hi Sarco
I think your avatar picture is absolutely fine and it is well balanced within the yellow surround. The space above the highest point on the head is about the same width as the space below the lowest point of the silhouette. I suppose you could move the picture a tiny fraction downwards to see if you prefer it that way - or you could widen the surround slightly all the way round so it would give the appearance of being more central. But certainly as it is it has never shouted at me that it is out of balance and like you my OCD like things to look right. I don't think there is a problem with the avatar but there is a big problem with the OCD bugging you about it and this is where you need to be concentrating your mental energies because knowing how to balance an image naturally is a talent which many photographers and graphic designers struggle to learn. So my advice is to make your OCD accept your avatar as it is and concentrate your mind on using your natural talent in other ways which will bring you interest and pleasure. You are obviously creative and this is a good way of harnessing OCD.
