  1. Does anyone else suffer anxiety attacks because of their OCD? I know that I do, although, I have my OCD pretty much under control right now. Sometimes I will have an intense OCD fear at night and wake up in the morning seeing just how silly that fear was. Anyone else do this?

    Hi Rena

Yes I have had this as I was getting better. I was really proud of myself that
I recognized the anxiety as bogus. I knew it was a sign of getting back my control.

  3. Hi Rena, I certainly do, I have sent several posts regarding this. It is worst in the mornings and seems to be about being scared of how I am feeling at the time like i am going to lose control and just extreme worry about everything. It has not always been this bad abd does die down as the day goes on.
Sorry you are going through it too.

  4. I think that is normal for us OCDers...the key and most difficult thing is to not try and lessen the anxiety...with mental rituals or outright physical ones...I think its a good thing that you just go to bed and wake up and its gone. Unless of course you are doing some mental reasurance to make it go away or some nighttime ritual to 'make everything right' before sleep. The anxiety can be overwhelming, and it often feels unfair that we deal with such a physical reaction to such a 'silly little stressor'...and yet thats the way it is for us...but we can fight it when we recognize it is OCD making us so afraid...not a real danger.
