  1. i forgot to take my meds yesterday i went out walked into the town centre did some shopping had a lovely day, but last night i had what i can only discribe as a mini break down i was very upset and cried alot got anxious about my cleaning tasks just generally derailled so my question is, is one day without meds enough to upset the balance?

  2. Hi netti,

Sorry you had such a bad end to what started off as a good day.
It might not so much be that you hadn't taken your medication it might be that you realised that you hadn't taken it and the OCD made you panic. Either way it resulted in the same thing - the OCD going nuts.

I use the alarm on my mobile to remind me to take my afternoon anticonvulsants as I can never remember to take them without a reminder.

I hope that you're having a better day today.

  4. i feel sorry for those people who have had to resort to taking meds to ease their symptons! I found that [edited by admin for drug reference] releived my impulsive nature and would calm my tapping and know many people who take it for that reason. dont be fooled! it has made my ocd tapping and tics so much worse!!

as long as meds are not seen as a long term solution i support the use of them just be carefull because your not exposing yourself to your problem so it will mount up at some point hence your breakdown!

    take it easy y y y
