(18th century, by Sheridan). It's very funny, but I mention it because there's one character in it that a lot of academics disagree over (you know how they do), about what kind of fictional character he was a parody of. I reckon he was probably drawn from life.<br /> If any of you know the play then you'll know who I mean - if not I'll explain later.<br /> I do recommend it, anyway. It's worth it for Mrs Malaprop alone - as she puts it: "If there is one thing I take a pride in, it is the use of my oracular tongue, and a nice derangement of epitaphs!" </p>
