Glad you have your boyfriend to offer support <img src="http://www.ocdaction.org.uk/forums/bb-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />
Why don't you go and see your GP first and sort the rest out from there?
If you need CBT maybe you could arrange at a day/ time when you would be in your local town anyway? Some schools can also arrange counselling for there students which you could talk to your school nurse about, again she/he would be bound by confidentiality, there is no need for your teachers to know but you may not want to go down that route.
Best wishes

Thank you!
Any information is helpful.

Ah good good. That's another thing that i'm worried about - getting to CBT. I live in the middle of nowhere, with no public transport basically.

To be honest, i think telling my parents would cause me more problems than solve them, but thank you for the advice anyway. My mum is struggling to cope with what's going on now, let alone adding my problem to the mix.
My boyfriend is supporting me through it at the moment - in fact it's him that's encouraged me to actually sort it out. So i'm not totally alone, thankfully.

Hi and welcome <img src="http://www.ocdaction.org.uk/forums/bb-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_biggrin.gif" title=":D" class="bb_smilies" />
If you go and see your GP they won't tell your parents as once you're sixteen you are classified as an adult from that point of view and they wouldn't tell your school as medical information is confidential.
It's probably a good idea to go and talk to your GP as they can start to support you and help you access treatment if needed, like CBT (theres lots of posts on here about this).
I can understand your reluctance to tell your parents but it would be good for you to have someone that could give you support that you could talk to about whats happening.
Not much info, sorry, but hope it helps a bit
Best wishes
Jo

Basically, i know i have OCD. Well, i'm about 99% certain, and have been sufferring with it for the past few years, at least. If you really want i will list my symptoms, but i don't see it as being vital to this post.
What i'd like to know is what actually happens when you see your GP about it. By the way, i'm 17. And i guess i just have quite a few questions.
Generally how do they go about it and the following action?
Do they tell your parents?
Where i live, i'm pretty stuck to get anywhere, and i really don't need or want my parents finding out as we have enough things going on right now, and i don't need the hassle from them, so will that effect what happens?
Would my school be notified? And would this affect me there?

Sorry for all these questions, it's taken me enough courage to sign up on here!
Thank you for your help in advance. (:
