At the start of the summer, our wonderful community fundraisers faced some pretty tough challenges in their mountaineering, peak-scaling and hill-running exploits. And as the summer draws to a close, along comes a tough challenge to challenge the toughest of tough challenges - the appropriately named ‘Tough Mudder’ being completed by Lowri Hadden on Saturday 12th September.
For those unfamiliar with Tough Mudder, it is an unique endurance event in which participants attempt 10–12-mile-long military-style obstacle courses. Tough Mudder tests physical strength and mental grit, and puts camaraderie over finisher rankings. It’s not a timed race but a team challenge that allows participants to experience exhilarating, yet safe, world-class obstacles that they won't find anywhere else.
We applaud Lowri for her amazing courage in attempting the Tough Mudder North West on 12th September, and we wish her all the very best in her endeavours. We also thank her for the great fundraising campaign that she’s run so far - collecting in the region of £400 already with more funds still to roll in, we are sure.
