OCD Action has had a thrilling few weeks for events from our wonderful fundraisers! Lowri Hadden recently conquered the intense Tough Mudder, and now another of our fundraisers is taking on a less muddy – but equally tough – challenge!
As Halloween draws near, so does the Irish Halloween bank holiday and the annual Dublin Marathon. Among those running this daunting route will be Sharon MacDonald, who is travelling all the way from Scotland to raise money for people affected by OCD! Sharon has OCD, and it has been part of her life for twenty years now, which is why she is keen to raise money for an OCD Charity. After what she describes as “months of blood, sweat and tears”, Sharon will be donning an OCD Action t-shirt and taking on this 26 mile behemoth. While nervous, Sharon believes that “with your support and the fundraising hopes of a charity behind me, I might just crawl over the finishing line in one piece!”
Sharon has already managed to raise over half of her £500 target, so please help her raise even more through her JustGiving page! So best of luck to Sharon, and we look forward to hearing about how it goes!
Don't forget, Sophie Hunt is also raising money for people affected by OCD at present. She's now half way through 'Sober October' and is doing a great job so far! You can support Sophie through her last two weeks of this challenge, by visiting her JustGiving page.
