We’re looking for people to get involved in an incredible fundraising event, the Charity Walk for Peace 2018 – and you could be one of them!
Taking part on Sunday 29th April 2018 in Royal Windsor Great Park, Surrey, the Walk for Peace is an inspiring occasion which brings together charities from all over the country in a joyful 5 mile walk.
The Charity Walk for Peace is the perfect event to raise much-needed funds for people with OCD, and here's why:
- It’s FREE – No entry fee, and lunch is provided!
- It’s MATCH FUNDED – Every penny you raise for OCD Action will be DOUBLED by the event’s organisers. You can raise twice as much without doing any extra work! Every £1 raised will be worth at least £2 to OCD Action*.
- It’s ACCESSIBLE – You don’t need to be physically fit or train hard to join in. It’s designed for people of all ages and abilities.
*Match Funding for the Charity has a maximum of £2000.
The Walk for Peace is generously organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association to help hundreds of UK charities and unite communities with the motto of "Love for All, Hatred for None".
The 2017 event, held in Newham, London, was a huge success, raising a stunning £1,987.60 for OCD Action (pictured being presented by the AMEA).
Here's what two of the wonderful fundraisers who took part last year (pictured below) had to say about it:
I thoroughly enjoyed the Charity Walk for Peace, it was such an inclusive and welcoming environment, and we were very much taken care of by the organisers (the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association)! The walk seemed to go so quickly as we were meeting and chatting to people fundraising for a wide variety of charities. I'd highly recommend the walk to anyone thinking of taking part!
It was a pleasant day for a walk along the Thames and a wonderful occasion that brought together lots of people, many of whom were representing a variety of charitable causes. I very much enjoyed the day and was proud to be part of the event.
With your help, we can make it an even bigger success in 2018!
